Learn What All Natural Vitamins Do For You
Your body needs vitamins. All natural vitamins help control your metabolism and help your body in absorbing energy from food. Nutritionists call vitamins “micronutrients”, because your body only needs them in small amounts compared to other nutrients like carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and water. Types:
- Water-soluble vitamins (vitamin C, vitamin B-complex)
- Oil-soluble vitamins (vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E, vitamin K)
You need to take water-soluble vitamins daily; they go through your system in a matter of hours. However, your body stores oil-soluble vitamins in fatty tissue and in the liver.
Recommended Daily Allowance for Vitamins
The Food and Drug Administration's recommendation falls short. It represents the bare minimum, the amount of vitamins you need to avoid vitamin deficiency diseases like rickets and scurvy. Where I discuss all natural vitamins, I'll give you the optimum daily vitamin intake. Optimum meaning the dosage needed for vibrant health.
Which Natural Vitamin Supplement?
Keep one thing in mind above all. All natural vitamins work best when taken together. Scientists in the vitamin industry call this synergy. Synergy occurs when 2 or more vitamins combine to create a stronger total effect. Another thing to keep in mind... Natural vitamins come from food. Synthetic vitamins come from a laboratory. Both have the same chemical properties, but synthetic vitamins may include coal tars, artificial coloring, preservatives, sugars. Stay away from synthetics. Also, avoid high potency multi vitamins.

All Natural Vitamins in a Supplement
Synthetic vitamins cost less than natural ones, because they are less potent. However, many synthetic supplements are labeled as "natural". So beware. Consider quality first, price second. Many vitamins are sold invidually, but they are not recommended. Instead, look for a multi-nutrient supplement that contains, not only many different vitamins, but also a range of minerals, herbal extracts, and amino acids. You'll get the most benefit out of vitamins this way.
